Vegan cutlets from lentils

Today I will tell you a recipe for delicious vegan cutlets, prepared by my wife. To taste very similar to meat cutlets, only tender and low-fat. Such vegan cutlets can be added to a hamburger or used as a filling for a pie. The basis of the recipe is a green lentil.

Recipe for vegan cutlets

We will need:

  • 300gr of green lentils
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 medium boiled potatoes
  • Spices: red, sweet pepper, granulated garlic (can be fresh)
  • Wheat flour (whole-grained bitter)
  • Refined vegetable oil
  • Salt
  • The greens taste

For the night we soak the lentils. In the morning we wash it. Then scroll through the meat grinder along with the onion. We boil the potatoes, crush it and add it to the stuffing. Then there are spices: red, sweet pepper, granulated garlic, salt, any greens to taste. Then we form the cutlets with wet hands, we can roll in flour, so that they do not stick to the frying pan, and fry in vegetable oil until cooked.

Cutlets can be eaten cold, they are just as tasty.

We tried to cook in the oven, but it turns out dry and not so appetizing. If you do not eat fried, try it, you may like it. When switching to veganism, such cutlets are simply salvation. They are very nutritious and only fresh vegetables can be used for garnish.

Instead of lentils, you can take beans, chickpeas or mung beans.
