Vegan Menu



Many people think that vegetarians eat one grass, and vegans, in general, are not clear what. But it turns out that their food is much more interesting and richer than traditional dishes. The vegan menu is filled with new tastes and combinations that can be constantly improved and changed.

Vegetarian diet

I'll talk about the vegan menu on the example of my family (I, wife and child 2 years). Since I am now switching to raw food, I do not have particularly refined dishes. During the week I eat apples, pears, bananas, oranges, tangerines, peanuts, once a week, pine nuts, raisins, dates, sprouted buckwheat, flax, carrots, every day a salad of cucumbers, tomatoes, greens, green onions and avocado with unrefined oil without salt, or with lemon juice. This is the basis, plus seasonal fruits: persimmons, berries, watermelons, melons, pomegranate, grapes, plums, peaches, apricots, nectarines. Naturally, the wife and child also eat fruits and vegetables, plus they cook.

Breakfast

Either fruit, or buckwheat porridge, or rice, very rarely semolina, or oatmeal with raisins. Very, very rarely corn and pearl barley, they are not popular with us. Sometimes a wife makes sandwiches with tofu, cucumber and lean mayonnaise. Or something after yesterday.

Dinner

Soups. Fresh or frozen vegetables. Suitable cauliflower, broccoli, potatoes, carrots. Tofu you can add tofu.

Borsch, cooks like a common borsch only without meat. I like to squeeze juice of half a lemon before serving and cut the green onions with dill. You can add lean mayonnaise or vegan sour cream.

Mushroom soup, best of oil, they give the soup a density and ductility.

Fish soup without fish :) soup is really fish taste due to nori seaweed. Ingredients: potatoes, carrots, onions, tofu and nori seaweed.

You can also prepare soups from lentils, beans, mung beans. Almost all classic soups can be made vegan, including with meatballs. Sometimes his wife cooks cream soups.

Dinner

Recently, for dinner, we are eating a salad of fresh vegetables. But sometimes we prepare other dishes that can be made for lunch.

Pilaf. Instead of meat we use chickpeas, lentils, soy meat or tofu.

Baked potatoes in a peel with spices. Garnish from rice, buckwheat or boiled potatoes, and as the main course - fried soy meat with onions, spices and soy sauce, cutlets or meatballs from beans, lentils, or chickpeas, fish sticks from tofu and seaweed nori. Salads: olive with lean mayonnaise and vegan sausage, vinaigrette, herring under a fur coat from seaweed nori. Sometimes we pick ourselves asparagus.

We cook pies , muffins, cookies, pancakes, fritters along the main dishes. I often make fruit ice cream, smoothies or freshly squeezed juice. Plus, on the festive table we buy vegan cheese, sausage, red caviar from seaweed. For the birthday we make a vegan cake. Instead of sweets - dried fruits. Instead of milk - home, coconut milk , or vegetable from the store.

As you can see, the vegan menu is not that scanty, on the contrary it is very diverse. I have listed not all dishes, their huge number, you can try to infinity. And what is your favorite vegan dish?
